Welcome to the Thames Valley Balboa Festival
We are proud to announce that we will be joined by some of the best Balboa teachers in the world – namely Laura Keat & David Rehm and Nelle Cherry and Adam Speen – from the USA.
Located in the picturesque and historic Thames-side town of Henley on Thames, the TVBF offers:
• Two days of workshops: Of intermediate standard and above with 4 world-class teachers
• Two evening dances:
Friday 21 June - Welcome Dance and Competition Heats
Saturday 22 June - with live band, guest DJs and competition finals
• Two competitions: One you can enter with a partner / One Jack and Jill
• A Sunday Tea Dance
Price for whole weekend including workshops and all evening dances £130/head
Event kicks off with a welcome dance at Henley Town Hall, Market Pl, Henley-on-Thames RG9 2AQ (including competition heats) at 8.30 pm on Friday 21 June. Those competing need to be there by 9.00 pm.
Level tests/Auditions take place at Henley Town Hall at 9.30 am on Saturday 22 June, prompt. Please arrive on time if you are auditioning. Workshops begin at Henley Town Hall and Henley Rugby Club, Dry Leas, Marlow Road, Henley on Thames, Oxon, RG9 2JA at 11.00 am. Workshops conclude around 4.30 pm.
Balboa Ball with the Swing Ninjas & competition finals: 8.30 pm - 1.00 am at Henley Town Hall
Sunday 23 June: Workshops begin 11.00 am and conclude 4.30pm followed by tea dance at Henley Town Hall.
